A Jerusalemite bus driver was injured on Friday morning after a group of Jewish settlers stabbed him in the holy city.
According to local sources the settlers attacked the Palestinian young man with knives as he was driving a bus on a road in Jerusalem.
The young man who works for the Egged public transportation company was identified as Mohamed Abu Nab.
He suffered moderate stab wounds and was transferred to a hospital for medical assistance.
According to human rights groups incidents of violence by extremist Jewish settlers against Palestinians and their property are a daily occurrence in the occupied territories.
However Israeli law enforcement authorities exhibit extreme incompetence in addressing such widespread occurrence of settlers’ crimes.
The vast majority of investigation files regarding harm to Palestinians and their property are closed due to deliberate police failure to investigate properly. The deficiencies and flaws in the work of the Israeli police are clearly noticed at every stage of an investigation when the victim is a Palestinian citizen.
