Jerusalemite political and religious figures called Tuesday for adopting a “confrontation strategy” to address Israeli ongoing violations against them.
In a press conference held today in occupied Jerusalem a number of Jerusalemite national leaders and religious icons stressed their total rejection to Israel’s demolition policy and Adhan ban bill.
The speakers called for adopting a national strategy to confront Israel’s systematic displacement and demolition policies against Jerusalemites.
They also stressed the need for the establishment of funds to support Jerusalemite families whose homes were demolished by Israeli authorities.
The speakers called for maintaining the status quo in al-Aqsa Mosque warning that Israel’s Adhan ban bill would ignite war in the region.
Former Minister of Jerusalemite Affairs Hatem Abdul Qader pointed out that Israeli demolition process has increased by 40% in comparison with last year.
143 Jerusalemite homes and facilities were demolished since the beginning of 2016 he said.
The speakers at the conference included head of Islamic Supreme Council Sheikh Ekrema Sabri Palestinian Mufti Sheikh Mohamed Hussein the former Minister Hatem Abdul Qader and head of the Islamic Waqf department in Jerusalem Sheikh Najeh Bkeirat.
