Head of the Jerusalemite Commission for Combating Judaization Nasser Al-Hadmi called for intensifying Palestinian presence during the Jewish holidays.
In a press release issued on Friday Al-Hadmi considered the large presence of Palestinian worshipers during the Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque as a strong message to the occupation.
Al-Aqsa Mosque will always remain the property of Muslims only and no one else has any right to it he said.
Jewish settlers’ incursions into the Mosque will never change its identity Al-Hadmi added.
He also pointed out that the growing tension in the West Bank badly affects the settlers’ incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque.
For his part Hamas spokesman for Jerusalem Muhammad Hamada called on the Palestinian people to intensify their presence in the holy site on Sunday morning which coincides with the so-called Jewish “Festival of Lights” (Hanukkah) which lasts for eight days.
