The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Monday morning displaced a Jerusalemite family of 17 individuals mostly children after demolishing its four-apartment house in Issawiya district at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
The house belonged to the family of Elyan whose son Fadi works for the Islamic Awqaf Authority in Jerusalem as head of the morning guards at the Aqsa Mosque.
According to local sources a large number of police forces stormed the neighborhood where the house was located before a bulldozer knocked it down reducing it to rubble.
Fadi Elyan said that the Israeli municipality had notified him yesterday of its intent to demolish the house which was built 10 years ago.
