Jerusalemite injured others kidnaped in Israeli police raids

A Palestinian young man was injured and several others were kidnaped last night when Israeli police forces stormed Shuafat refugee camp and Anata town in Occupied Jerusalem following the shooting operation that killed a soldier and wounded two others on Saturday evening.

According to local sources a young man suffered a bullet injury in his chest after police forces opened fire at him and other young men during skirmishes with them in the camp.

A large number of Israeli forces stormed the camp raided many homes and interrogated local residents.

Several Palestinians were rounded up during the Israeli police raid in the camp. Some of the detainees are relatives of a young man suspected of participating in the Shuafat shooting operation.

The Israeli police also laid tight siege to Shuafat camp last night and prevented the local residents from going in or out.

The Israeli police claim that at least three Palestinians are involved in the shooting operation.

Meanwhile the entrances of Anata town and as-Salam suburb in east Jerusalem have been closed since last night by the Israeli police.

Local sources said that police forces stormed Anata town overnight and kidnaped several citizens from their homes.
