Violent clashes broke out last night between Palestinian young men and Israeli police forces in the east Jerusalem district of Issawiya.
According to local sources Israeli police officers stormed Issawiya and fired rubber bullets and tear gas canisters at young men who responded by throwing stones and Molotov cocktails.
In another context the Israeli district court in Occupied Jerusalem extended on Wednesday the detention of four young men from Silwan district until next Sunday.
The four young men are Qassam and Nasrallah Ayyad (brothers) Mohamed Ahmed and Nashat Dawabsheh. They are being held on different charges.
A similar court order was also issued yesterday against another Jerusalemite young man called Obeida at-Tawil from Ras al-Amud neighborhood.
Meanwhile an Israeli court postponed the trial of a young man called Riyad Qarrawi a resident of the east Jerusalem town of at-Tur until September 20 2022.
