Israeli policemen detained two Palestinian Jerusalemites near the holy Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Sunday evening and blocked prayer at the holy site except for inhabitants of the Old City.
Jerusalemite sources said that Israeli occupation policemen detained the two Palestinians near the Asbat Gate.
They added that many worshipers were forced to offer their Isha (night) prayer outside the Aqsa Mosque after the Israeli police closed the roads leading to the holy site for those living outside the Old City with no reasons given.
The measures come only after hours of facilitating the entry of Jewish settlers into the holy Islamic site in droves to celebrate the new Hebrew year.
