The Jerusalemite people and the employees of the Awqaf Department at al-Aqsa Mosque have been holding a sit-in at al-Aqsa Mosque’s gates and in the streets leading to the holy site for the tenth day in a row on Monday. The sit-in is being held in protest at the metal detectors installed at the gates of the holy shrine by Israeli police.
The Jerusalemites also refuse any other Israeli security measure including the installation of surveillance cameras at the gates of the holy site.
Israeli police in Occupied Jerusalem Monday morning failed to ban Jerusalemite protesters and worshipers from sitting-in at al-Majles gate one of the main gates of al-Aqsa Mosque.
