AL-KHALIL (PIC)– A number of Palestinian citizens were hurt when Jewish settlers assisted by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) assaulted them in Buwaira suburb near the settlement of Kiryat Arba in Al-Khalil on Friday.
Local sources said that tens of farmers and foreign solidarity activists tried to plant trees in the area when the armed settlers and IOF soldiers attacked them.
A fist-fight erupted and some farmers and foreigners were hurt when the settlers and soldiers used their rifle butts to attack them the sources said adding that the soldiers also confiscated a big number of trees.
The IOF command then announced the area a closed military zone and arrested a photographer for interrogation and released him later.
The IOF troops also arrested three teens in Arub refugee camp north of Al-Khalil at the pretext they threw stones at Israeli cars near the camp.
Two other boys from a Jenin village were arrested at dawn Saturday at Qalandia roadblock north of Ramallah.
