A number of Palestinian farmers and shepherds on Saturday morning suffered injuries and bruises when a horde of Jewish settlers physically assaulted them in Masafer Yatta area south of al-Khalil.
Local official Rateb al-Jabour said that a group of settlers from the illegal settlements of Mitzpe Yair and Suseya savagely beat under military protection local farmers and shepherds from the families of al-Jabareen an-Najjar and Huraini and injured a number of them.
The assault happened in an area near Sha’ab al-Battam hamlet and Susiya village.
Jabour called on human rights group to intervene and work on curbing Israeli violations sand crimes against the local residents in the West Bank.
