Daraghmeh added that the same settlers attacked a shepherd with pepper spray on Monday and forced him and other sheepherders to leave the area.

Palestinian villagers in the northern Jordan Valley are exposed to daily attacks by Jewish settlers and soldiers who aim to force the local residents to leave the region.

In a separate incident another group of settlers today afternoon set fire to swaths of land in the towns of Qusra and Jorish south of Nablus.

Eyewitnesses said that settlers from the illegal settlement of Shvut Rachel set alight a vast tract of land near olive groves in Qusra and Jorish.
