A horde of Jewish settlers on Monday set fire to an olive grove near ash-Shuyukh town northwest of al-Khalil burning dozens of olive trees.
According to local sources settlers from the nearby illegal settlement of Asfar infiltrated into a grove belonging to local residents in Sarara area of the town and torched at least 50 fruitful olive trees.
The same settlers also placed two prefabricated homes in the same area.
Jewish settlers repeatedly attack Palestinian-owned agricultural lands and property in the West Bank where there are over 200 illegal settlements and dozens of small outposts.
In another incident the Israeli occupation army uprooted dozens of olive trees using bulldozers in al-Ras area west of Salfit.
One of the affected farmers said that Israeli bulldozers uprooted over 250 olive trees aged 7-10 years in al-Ras area at the pretext that they were in Area C of the West Bank which is under Israeli control.
He added that the Israeli army bulldozed vast tracts of their agricultural land destroyed dry stone walls on their own lands and stole some of the uprooted trees.
