Jewish settlers defile Al-Aqsa Mosque

Sunday 29-November-2020

Dozens of Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Sunday led by extremist rabbi Yehuda Glick during the morning period of the daily incursions under heavy police protection.

Jerusalemite sources reported that 38 settlers including students of extremist religious institutes stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The settlers assembled in the al-Rahma Gate and the eastern area of Al-Aqsa Mosque during which they performed provocative religious and Talmudic rituals.

The settler incursions are part of periodic tours aiming to change the fait accompli in the Holy City and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

During the evening incursions the Israeli police provided the settlers an additional half hour between 12:30 and 2:00 instead of 1:30.

The head of the Islamic Supreme Authority in Jerusalem and the preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri warned of the seriousness of the recent request of the extremist Jewish groups. They asked to build a Talmudic school in the eastern square of Al-Aqsa to gain a foothold in it after they failed to control and convert the al-Rahma Gate to a synagogue.

Sheikh Sabri warned that the occupation is trying to take away the powers of the endowments in Al-Aqsa and gradually take control of the Holy City. He explained that denying Palestinians access to Jerusalem confirms Israel’s intention to isolate the city and besiege it with military checkpoints the separation wall and settlements.

Sabri pointed out that the temporal and spatial division policy that the occupation is trying to impose began decades ago but Jerusalemites and the Palestinians in 1948 Occupied Palestine responded to that scheme and prevented the imposition of the occupation hegemony on Jerusalem.

Calls continue for all Muslims in 1948 Occupied Palestine and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to intensify their presence at Al-Aqsa Mosque to repel the Jewish settlers’ incursions.

Jewish settlers resumed their incursions into the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque Sunday under heavy police protection.

Jerusalemite sources said that 21 settlers entered the holy Islamic site and toured its various courtyards performing provocative Jewish rituals during their tour.

Meanwhile the Wadi Hilweh Information Center stated that 373 settlers stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Jewish Sukkot holiday last week.

The center indicated that settlers stormed Al-Aqsa during the morning and afternoon periods and performed their prayers and Talmudic rituals at the gates of Al-Aqsa and the roads leading to it and in Al-Buraq Square during the sukkot holiday.

Local sources reported that dozens of Jewish settlers were allowed into the Al-Aqsa courtyards while Muslims were being prevented from entering it under the pretext of the lockdown.

According to the so-called Temple Mount organizations dozens of Jews who live hundreds of miles away stormed Al-Aqsa during the closure period.

The so-called Temple groups renewed their calls for expanding the incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Jewish holidays.

The Temple groups also demanded the Israeli occupation forces to tighten their grip over Jerusalemites punish them and banish them from Jerusalem.

Jerusalemite activists indicated that the racist Israeli policies against Palestinian Jerusalemites and worshipers who are prevented from accessing the Al-Aqsa Mosque are part of the plans to empty the Al-Aqsa Mosque and divide it.

The Israeli occupation targets Jerusalemites with arrests deportation orders and fines with the aim of dissuading them from frequenting the Al-Aqsa Mosque and leaving it an easy prey for Israeli settlers.
