Jewish settlers on Monday morning swamped Palestinian olive groves in Deir al-Hatab village east of Nablus with sewage and wastewater.
According to local sources settlers from the illegal settlement of Elon Moreh intentionally channeled sewer water into the olive groves in the village in order to sabotage the trees and prevent landowners from collecting olives during the current harvest season.
The villagers would incur considerable financial losses after the olive groves were flooded with sewer water from the settlement.
In recent weeks Israeli settlers — with the help of the Israeli occupation army — started to sabotage the Palestinian olive harvest season through destroying and burning olive trees or stealing crops.
Jewish settlers repeatedly attack Palestinian-owned agricultural lands and property in the West Bank where there are over 200 illegal settlements and dozens of small outposts.
Incidents of terrorism and violence by extremist Jewish settlers against Palestinians and their property are a daily occurrence throughout the West Bank.
