Jewish settlers stormed on Wednesday morning the courtyards of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque under Israeli police protection.
Jerusalemite sources reported that 66 settlers including the extremist rabbi Yehuda Glick broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque in addition to 4 Israeli intelligence officers who stormed the Aqsa’s prayer halls.
The occupation police closed the Maghareba Gate after the entry of the settlers and were deployed at the Mosques’ gates according to the sources.
Last week 437 Jewish settlers and dozens of Israeli police officers carried out incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to a periodic report issued by Hamas’s media office in West Bank the Israeli occupation authorities deported 17 Palestinians from their places of residence in Occupied Jerusalem and from Al-Aqsa Mosque during February.
It added that 1309 settlers stormed the Mosque’s courtyards during February compared to 613 settlers who broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque in January.
