Jewish settlers on Monday resumed razing Palestinian-owned lands in the West Bank governorate of Salfit in preparation to expand the illegal settlement of Bruchin.
“Jewish settlers’ bulldozers continued razing Palestinian lands in the village of Bruqin in addition to preparing the infrastructure as part of settlement expansion plans” Palestinian farmers reported adding that the settlers claimed that the lands belong to them and will not be returned to the Palestinian farmers.
For his part the Palestinian local activist Khalid Maali stressed that the Israeli occupation authority had approved the building of hundreds of new settlement units in order to expand the Bruchin settlement.
“The lands in the 18 villages in the Salfit governorate are threatened with confiscation in favor of expanding the settlement of Bruchin in addition to 25 other settlements” activist Maali added.
