Jewish settlers set up caravans on Palestinian land

Wednesday 23-March-2022

A group of Jewish settlers set up a number of mobile houses (caravans) on Palestinian land in Qaryut village southeast of Nablus on Tuesday.

Local activist Bashar Al-Qaryouti said that installing new mobile houses and tents in the area came as part of the Israeli attempt to take control of the southern part of Qaryut.

The new illegal settlement will link “Eli” settlement with the “Shilo” settlement he added.

Al-Qaryouti warned of the serious escalation of the Israeli settlement expansion in the village that will lead to more settlers’ attacks and break-ins.

In another development Israeli bulldozers razed agricultural lands and uprooted dozens of olive trees in Wadi Fukin west of Bethlehem.

The head of the Wadi Fokin village council Ibrahim Al-Hroub affirmed that the Israeli forces bulldozed 4-dunums of land in the “Al-Qabou” area and uprooted 30 olive trees owned by local farmers.

Palestinian farmers are subjected to frequent Israeli attacks by both Israeli army and settlers especially in the areas adjacent to Israeli illegal settlements in the West Bank.
