Jewish settlers torch at least 1000 olive trees in Jalud town

A horde of Jewish settlers on Wednesday set fire to hundreds of productive olive trees in Jalud town north of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.

According to eyewitnesses about 12 masked settlers from the illegal outpost of Ahiya stormed the town smashed windows of the Jalud High School and its cafeteria and set ablaze nearby olive groves containing hundreds of trees.

Consequently the fire charred a vast tract of agricultural land and destroyed about 1000 harvestable olive trees. The olive trees belong to more than 10 families.
