Thursday 14-October-2021

A group of Jewish settlers uprooted more than 80 olive trees in the village of al-Mughayyer north of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah on Thursday morning.

Head of al-Mughayyer village council Amin Abu Eliya said that the farmers were surprised to see that settlers had destroyed and uprooted more than 80 olive trees in their lands located near the illegal Israeli settlement of Adi Ad.

He affirmed that the attack was carried out under Israeli army’s protection.

Abu Eliya further added that the settlers assaulted a local farmer who was treated later for severe injuries and bruises.

Earlier Wednesday the same settlers razed more than 60 dunums of the village lands where they previously uprooted about 500 olive trees.

Since the current olive harvest season began settlers have destroyed and burned dozens of olive trees across the West Bank.
