Jewish settlers uproot dozens of olive trees in Salfit

Wednesday 5-January-2022

Jewish settlers uprooted dozens of olive trees north of the town of Kafr ad-Dik west of Salfit in the northern occupied West Bank on Tuesday night.

Local sources affirmed that a group of settlers from Aley Zahav illegal settlement uprooted 50 olive trees belonging to the local farmer Saleh Al-Shannar.

The incident came after Israeli occupation forces razed large areas of Kafr al-Dik lands as part of the Aley Zahav settlement’s expansion plan.

A few days ago Jewish settlers stole 80 trees planted in the same area.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that from January to November 2021 Israeli settlers carried out 427 attacks in the West Bank including Occupied Jerusalem.

There are more than 300 illegal Jewish settlements in the West Bank which Israel occupied in 1967. More than 666000 Jewish settlers make life more difficult for Palestinians living under the occupation.
