The spokesman for Jihad Movement Dawood Shihab revealed that Egypt is ready to host a Palestinian national dialogue following the seventh Fatah Movement’s conference.
Talking to Quds Press Shihab affirmed that the Egyptian authorities expressed willingness to host a Palestinian comprehensive national dialogue after the end of Fatah conference.
The Egyptian authorities will invite the Palestinian factions to participate in the national dialogue according to the initiative submitted by Jihad Movement’s Secretary General Ramadan Shallah according to his statements.
Shallah has recently ended a visit to Cairo after receiving promises to frequently open Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt Shihab added.
He described Shallah’s visit to Egypt as “positive.”
“Contacts will remain ongoing with Egyptian authorities as we look forward to Egypt to play a bigger role in the Palestinian cause” the spokesman said.
Last week a delegation from the Jihad Movement headed by its Secretary General Ramadan Shallah met with Egyptian general intelligence officials and discussed Palestinian national reconciliation efforts.
