Jihad Movement considered the UN Secretary General’s decision to withdraw ESCWA’s report on Israeli apartheid policy against Palestinians as a clear bias to Israel.
Spokesman for the Movement Dawood Shihab said that UN’s decision to withdraw the report provides a cover to Israeli regime’s crimes against the Palestinian people.
Shihab called on the free world to continue the boycott campaigns against Israel and to prosecute its leaders for committing inhuman crimes against the Palestinian people and their holy sites.
ESCWA had published a report on Wednesday 15/3/2017 clearly charging Israel of “establishing an apartheid regime that dominates the Palestinian people as a whole.”
However UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres asked for the report to be taken off the ESCWA website.
Based on that ESCWA’s Executive Secretary Rima Khalaf submitted her resignation from the United Nations.
