The Jordanian government is reportedly demanding the replacement of the Israeli ambassador to Amman Einat Schlein for the return of the embassy’s staff to Jordan.
This followed the ambassador’s participation along with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in welcoming Israeli security guard Ziv Moyal who shot and killed two Jordanians in Amman over a month ago.
Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Wednesday that the diplomatic crisis between both sides is still ongoing and the Jordanians refer to Schlein as part of the crisis even if Israel meets the Jordanian demands by bringing Moyal to account.
The newspaper quoted Israeli well-informed sources as saying that Israel will have no other choice but to replace Schlein in order for the relations to comeback to normal.
