Jordan’s King Abdullah II has emphasized the importance of preventing any unilateral Israeli measures that would destabilize the region.
This came during a meeting held on Monday in Washington between King Abdullah and US national security advisor Jake Sullivan according to Jordan News Agency (Petra).
The two sides discussed a number of regional issues especially the Palestinian question where the Jordanian King stressed the pivotal role of the US administration in advancing peace efforts on the basis of the two-state solution.
They also talked about the need to find political solutions to the region’s crises in addition to the regional and international efforts to combat terrorism within a holistic approach.
US president Joe Biden on Monday held White House talks with Jordan’s King Abdullah who started a visit to the country recently.
The Palestinian-Israeli conflict and Jordan’s economy were among other issues tabled by the Jordanian King during his recent meetings in Washington with the US president and other top officials.
