Jordan’s Muslim Brotherhood movement has strongly denounced the US administration for intending to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Occupied Jerusalem saying such a step would violate all UN resolutions that consider Israel an occupying power.
In a press release on Monday the Muslim Brotherhood said such US measure would undermine the Arab and Muslim nations’ right to Jerusalem and confer more legitimacy on the last colonial power in the world.
The movement also stressed that the US intent to relocate its embassy vindicated further its hostility towards the Palestinian people and the Muslim nation and its support for Israel’s “state terrorism” against the Palestinians and their holy places.
It called on the Jordanian government to reject this US step and back any popular move opposing it.
