A group of Jordanian activists have launched an initiative called “Jordanians for Breaking Gaza Siege” with the aim of highlighting the unjust blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip for 12 years.
Sarah Suwailem one of the initiative’s organizers stated that the step aims at providing moral and media support for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and their steadfastness in the face of the Israeli occupation.
Suwailem added that a Facebook group was created for the initiative which attracted dozens of Jordanian young people who are interested in supporting the Palestinian people especially in Gaza.
She affirmed that the organizers started to prepare for a series of activities and events to highlight the blockade on Gaza pointing out that a symposium would be held soon about the Gaza siege in cooperation with the Islamic Action Front.
