The Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate (PJS) on Wednesday filed a complaint with the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) over Israel’s persistence in its violations against journalists.
The PJS highlighted the bullet injury which a Palestine TV cameraman suffered from when Israeli soldiers opened fire at him as he was covering events at dawn today August 17 in Kobar town northwest of Ramallah.
The syndicate’s complaint stated that Israel’s violations against the Palestinian journalists and the freedom of the press increased significantly in recent times.
It called on the IFJ to necessarily dispatch a fact-finding committee to investigate all the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation state against the Palestinian media.
Mohamed Radi who works as a photojournalist for Palestine satellite channel was badly injured when a soldier fired a rubber bullet at him that hit his face in Kobar village during an Israeli raid to demolish a house belonging a Palestinian martyr’s family there.
