A group of Palestinian journalists on Tuesday staged a sit-in in Ramallah city in protest at the ministry of information’s request to change a local radio station’s manager because she was not approved by the security authorities.
The journalists condemned the Palestinian Authority security apparatuses for “interfering in the media work and seeking to muzzle mouths.”
The ministry of information recently demanded the radio station A7la FM to replace its chief editor Reem al-Amri and threatened to close it if it refused to respond to the request.
