The Palestinian minister of health Mai al-Kaila announced on Monday that 16 deaths 2103 new cases of the coronavirus were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Kaila said in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that eight deaths were recorded in the Gaza Strip and eight others were recorded in the West Bank.
She pointed out that there are 76 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units while 221 others are treated in the West Bank’s COVID-19 sections in various hospitals including 10 who have been placed on ventilators.
The recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 91.6 percent while the rate of active infections reached 7.4 percent and the death rate was 1 percent of all infections the minister said.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 1306012 including 587112 who received the two doses of the vaccine the minister concluded.
