Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Friday that 19 deaths 1774 new cases of the coronavirus and 2276 recoveries were recorded during the last 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 7 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: Tulkarem 2 Nablus 2 the suburbs of Jerusalem 1 al-Khalil 1 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 1 in addition to 11 deaths in the Gaza Strip and one death in Jerusalem.
She stated that the new infections were divided as follows: Tubas 32 Nablus 182 Qalqilya 29 Tulkarem 57 Jenin 84 Salfit 13 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 9 al-Khalil 72 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 87 Bethlehem 22 the suburbs of Jerusalem 3 Gaza Strip 1138 and Jerusalem 46.
The new recovery cases were recorded according to the following: Tubas 51 Nablus 322 Qalqilya 13 Tulkarem 73 Jenin 161 Salfit 2 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 7 al-Khalil 86 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 205 Bethlehem 48 the suburbs of Jerusalem 6 Gaza Strip 1205 Jerusalem 97 the minister added.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 88.6 percent while the rate of active infections reached 10.4 percent and the death rate was 1.0% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 172 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 54 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 159754 including 23113 who received the two doses of the vaccine the minister concluded.
