Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health reported that 21 new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) were recorded on Friday which brings the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic to 1364 deaths.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 1812 new cases of coronavirus were recorded which brings the total number of infections to 145422 cases while 1783 recoveries were recorded bringing the number of recoveries to 119938.
She stated that the new deaths were recorded as follows: al-Khalil 2 Jenin 2 Qalqilya 1 Nablus 2 Bethlehem 3 Gaza Strip 7 and Jerusalem 4.
The new cases were distributed according to the following: Salfit 47 al-Khalil 142 Jericho 14 Tulkarem 95 Tubas 28 Jenin 127 Qalqilya 26 Nablus 85 Bethlehem 55 Ramallah 159 the suburbs of Jerusalem 12 the Gaza Strip 728 Jerusalem 294 while 6134 examinations were conducted Kailah added.
She indicated that the new recoveries were recorded as follows: Salfit 27 al-Khalil 221 Jericho 6 Tulkarem 92 Tubas 23 Jenin 225 Qalqilya 49 Nablus 82 Bethlehem 83 Ramallah 177 Gaza Strip 500 and Jerusalem 298.
The recovery rate of coronavirus reached 82.7 percent while the rate of active infections reached 16.4 percent and the death rate was 0.9% of all infections she elaborated.
Kailah pointed out that there are 118 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 26 who have been placed on ventilators.
