The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced on Wednesday that 22 deaths 1923 new cases of the coronavirus and 2245 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 12 deaths and 498 infections were recorded in the West Bank while 10 deaths and 1425 new cases were recorded in the Gaza Strip.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 88.2 percent while the rate of active infections reached 10.8 percent and the death rate was 1.0% of all infections the minister added.
She pointed out that there are 180 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 57 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 153911 including 19940 who received the two doses of the vaccine the minister concluded.
