Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Sunday that 22 deaths 2235 new cases of the coronavirus and 1672 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 16 deaths were recorded in the West Bank: Jericho and Al-Aghwar 1 al-Khalil 2 Jenin 3 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 2 Tubas 2 Tulkarem 1 Qalqilya 2 and Nablus 3 in addition to 6 deaths in the Gaza Strip.
She noted that the new infections were distributed as follows: Tulkarem 84 Tubas 36 Nablus 188 Jenin 153 Qalqilya 29 Salfit 16 Bethlehem 32 al-Khalil 83 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 116 Jerusalem suburbs 11 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 8 and the Gaza Strip 1479.
The new recovery cases were recorded according to the following: Tulkarem 134 Tubas 25 Nablus 75 Jenin 142 Qalqilya 87 Salfit 29 Bethlehem 32 al-Khalil 277 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 131 the suburbs of Jerusalem 14 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 14 and the Gaza Strip 712 the minister added.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 88.0 percent while the rate of active infections reached 11.0 percent and the death rate was 1.0% of all infections the minister said.
She pointed out that there are 185 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 50 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 140932 including 13167 who received the two doses of the vaccine according to Kailah.
