Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Sunday that one death 173 new cases of the coronavirus and 211 recoveries were recorded during the last 24 hours.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 97.5 percent while the rate of active infections reached 1.4 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She noted that the new infections were recorded as follows: Tubas 3 Tulkarem 3 Nablus 11 Jenin 7 Salfit 1 Bethlehem 1 al-Khalil 3 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 5 Jerusalem suburbs 0 Qalqilya 0 Jericho and Aghwar 0 and the Gaza Strip 139.
The new cases of recovery were distributed according to the following: Tubas 2 Tulkarem 9 Nablus 30 Jenin 31 Salfit 2 Bethlehem 4 al-Khalil 9 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 17 Jerusalem suburbs 0 Qalqilya 6 Jericho and Aghwar 3 and the Gaza Strip 98 the minister added.
The new death was recorded in Bethlehem she said.
Kailah pointed out that there are 18 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 2 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the minister noted that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 375966 including 234420 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
