Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Tuesday that one death 204 new cases of the coronavirus and 220 recoveries were recorded after conducting 2789 examinations within the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the single fatality was recorded in Nablus.
She said that the new infections were distributed as follows: Nablus 8 al-Khalil 2 and the Gaza Strip 194.
The new recovery cases were recorded according to the following: Nablus 10 Jenin 3 Tulkarem 2 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 2 Bethlehem 3 and the Gaza Strip 200 the minister added.
Kailah said that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 98 percent while the rate of active infections reached 0.9 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She pointed out that there are 6 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 2 who have been placed on ventilators.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the minister noted that the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 461162 including 296812 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
