Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Wednesday that two deaths 753 new cases with the coronavirus and 118 recoveries were recorded during the last 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the two deaths were recorded in the Gaza Strip.
She stated that the new infections were distributed as follows: Qalqilya 31 Tulkarem 65 Nablus 115 Tubas 14 Salfit 20 Jenin 39 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 6 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 44 Bethlehem 7 Jerusalem suburbs 2 al-Khalil 6 and the Gaza Strip 404.
The new recovery cases were recorded according to the following: Qalqilya 2 Nablus 22 Tubas 2 Jenin 21 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 1 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 9 Bethlehem 4 Jerusalem suburbs 2 al-Khalil 5 and the Gaza Strip 50 the minister added.
Kailah pointed out that the recovery rate of the coronavirus reached 97.3 percent while the rate of active infections reached 1.6 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
She said that there are 22 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units.
Regarding the vaccination campaign the total number of people who received the corona vaccine in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 667894 including 432731 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
For his part Naji Nazzal the Director General of Hospitals in the Health Ministry announced that the epidemiological situation in Palestine is getting worse.
Nazzal pointed out in a press statement that there is an increase in the number of patients who need hospitalization.
He added that the medical centers are ready to receive cases stressing the importance of receiving vaccinations as they protect the patient from entering intensive care units.
