Deputy Head of the Islamic Movement in the 1948 occupied Palestine Sheikh Kamal al-Khatib said that attacking Muslim worshipers at the plazas of al-Aqsa Mosque on Saturday was preplanned and was not a mere reaction.
The time was carefully chosen as the attack coincided with July 27 which marks the date on which the Israeli metal gates project was foiled by the Jerusalemites last year he elaborated.
Khatib opined that the Israeli brutal attack on Palestinian youths at the holy site reflects the Israeli retaliation for the victory achieved by the Jerusalemite people with regards to the metal gates issue.
He hailed the people of occupied Jerusalem for their steadfastness and stressed that such Israeli attacks and violations will never make Palestinians give up defending Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque.
