Palestinian lawmaker Jamal al-Khudari has hailed the delegation of the European Parliament that was prevented by Israel on Thursday from entering the Gaza Strip for their position against the Israeli blockade on the impoverished enclave.
Khudari who heads the Popular Committee against the Siege condemned the Israeli occupation authority for denying the European delegation entry to Gaza describing the measure as “unacceptable and aimed at hiding the true picture of the humanitarian situation in Gaza.”
The lawmaker called for necessarily forming an international conglomerate to lift the illegal and inhumane blockade on Gaza and pressure Israel to end it.
“Our message to the world is clear we want our legitimate rights and our independent Palestinian state with its capital in Jerusalem where we live in peace safety and security and without siege detention migration asylum and settlement” he said.
