The director of Al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani has warned that the continuous Israeli occupation authority’s (IOA) violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque will lead to an uncontrollable explosion.
In a press statement on Sunday Kiswani said that the IOA is attempting to change the de facto situation in the holy site through incursions and performing Talmudic rituals in it.
He explained that the IOA imposed a siege on Al-Aqsa since Saturday afternoon and prevented those under the age of forty from entering it.
The Israeli occupation police and special units surrounded Al-Qibli Mosque this morning and closed its doors with iron chains and then allowed the groups of settlers to storm Al-Aqsa from the Al-Maghariba Gate the director of the Mosque said.
He pointed out that the settlers performed Talmudic rituals in the vicinity of the Bab al-Rahma and Bab al-Silsila gates.
Kiswani called on the Palestinians to remain steadfast and called on the Arab and Islamic countries to shoulder responsibility toward Al-Aqsa pointing out that their silence had encouraged the IOA to escalate aggression against the Islamic holy site.
On Sunday morning worshippers confronted the settlers’ incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed the Duha prayer in Al-Aqsa courtyards.
The so-called Temple groups had called for organizing mass incursions into the Mosque today and tomorrow to celebrate Shavuot.
