The Behavior Committee in the Israeli Knesset decided on Wednesday to ban the Arab MK Hanin Zubi from attending the Knesset sessions for a whole week because she called Israeli soldiers killers.
According to the committee’s resolution the ban order will be effective from the start of the Knesset summer term with preserving her right to vote.
The Arab MK of the joint list Yousef Jabarin did not attend the voting session against MK Zubi.
Zubi’s remarks date back to the session held on June 29 2016 only a few days after signing the reconciliation agreement between Israel and Turkey. She said then that “Whoever killed the passengers of Marmara flotilla across the sea had to apologize”.
