Kuwait has affirmed the commitment to its 2-million-dollar annual pledge to UNRWA.
This came in a speech delivered on Wednesday by Jassem al-Bedeiwi Kuwait’s Ambassador to Belgium and head of its mission to the EU and NATO before a meeting of the communication committee to coordinate international aid for Palestinians in Brussels.
Bedeiwi said that his country spared no effort for supporting the Palestinian Question and that it contributed in funding UNRWA and covering its urgent needs over the past few years the last of which was offering the UN organization 5 million dollars in December.
The Kuwaiti diplomat also called for not politicizing the activities of UNRWA and to maintain the humanitarian nature of its works.
