Large-scale arrest campaign across West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a large-scale arrest campaign across the West Bank at dawn Thursday. Several ex-prisoners were targeted during the campaign.

The IOF troops rounded up four Palestinians in Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate and two ex-prisoners after breaking into Beit Awa and Beit Umar towns in al-Khalil.

In Bethlehem a Palestinian young man was arrested while another was summoned for investigation.

The Israeli army often carries out detention raids against Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem claiming to arrest wanted Palestinians.

Israel currently holds 4650 Palestinians including 31 women 180 children and 550 administrative detainees.

Large-scale arrest campaign across West Bank

WEST Bank (PIC)– The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) launched at dawn Thursday a large-scale raid and arrest campaign across the West Bank which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.

12 Palestinians were arrested during the campaign including ex-detainees.

In Nablus six citizens including an ex-detainee were rounded up after Israeli forces violently stormed and searched their homes.

In Bethlehem two brothers whose father Ahmed al-Balbul was assassinated by Israeli forces in 2008 were arrested during the clashes that broke out when Israeli forces stormed the city.

Teargas bombs were fired by the IOF soldiers during the clashes. No injuries were reported.

The two detained brothers’ sister Nuran was also arrested a month ago at Bethlehem checkpoint. The 16-year-old girl was sentenced to four months.

Three more arrests were carried out in al-Khalil while one detainee was rounded up in Tulkarem.
