Large-scale arrest campaign in West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a large-scale arrest campaign in the West Bank on Monday morning. The arrests mainly targeted minors and ex-prisoners.

Local sources said that Israeli forces arrested the ex-prisoner Khaled Abu Baha after violently storming his house in Beitunia town in Ramallah.

Abu Baha had previously spent more than 13 years in Israeli jails and was detained more than once by PA security forces.

Also in Ramallah the IOF arrested a university student and an ex-prisoner from their family houses in Al-Bireh.

Four boys were also detained in Qalqilya along with their fathers while a young man was detained in Al-Silat Al-Harithiya in Jenin.

A Palestinian was also rounded up in Nour Shams camp east of Tulkarem while two young men were kidnapped after IOF soldiers stormed Al-Khader town south of Bethlehem.

Two more arrests were reported in al-Khalil and Jerusalem.

Large-scale arrest campaign in West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out a large-scale raid campaign in the West Bank at dawn Wednesday. Several Palestinians were detained during the raid.

In Ramallah the IOF arrested a young man and summoned an ex-prisoner for investigation in Beit Rima town.

In Jenin at least six Palestinians were detained from the towns of Jaba’ Burqin and Al-Arqa.

Another Palestinian boy was rounded up from his family house in Beit Ummar town in al-Khalil

IOF soldiers further stormed Sebastia town in Nablus. No arrests were reported.

The IOF troops often carry out detention raids against Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem claiming to arrest wanted Palestinians.

Large-scale arrest campaign in West Bank

RAMALLAH (PIC)– Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested 22 Palestinians in the West Bank including ex-detainees on Tuesday evening.
In a statement on Wednesday Palestinian Prisoner Society revealed that the IOF soldiers arrested six Palestinians from Ramallah and al-Bireh three others from Tulkarem as well as another three from Taqoa village near Bethlehem and three Jerusalemites from al-Issawiya town.

Three other Palestinians were arrested from al-Khalil governorate in addition to two others from Jenin as well as two Palestinians from Qalqilya and Nablus.

Large-scale arrest campaign in West Bank

NABLUS (PIC)– The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) launched at dawn Wednesday new raid and arrest campaigns throughout occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.

In al-Khalil IOF arrested a number of local activists affiliated with Hamas Movement and ex-prisoners including Sheikh Mustafa Shawer head of the Palestine Scholars Association.

Sheikh Shawer was arrested only six months after being released from Israeli jails.

A number of Youth Against Settlement activists were among the reported detainees. Four other youths were also detained in Aroub refugee camp in the city.

In Nablus two youngsters were nabbed after breaking into their family homes in Beit Furik town north of the city.

A number of local homes were also stormed and searched during the raid including the home of the ex-prisoner who is exiled to Gaza Nimer Haj Mohamed.

The Israeli forces threatened to demolish Nimer’s home for the second time.

In Jenin IOF arrested overnight two youths at Hawara and Zaatara military checkpoints and took them to an unknown detention center.

Dozens of local youths were arrested over the past few days at military checkpoints near Jenin.

Large-scale arrest campaign in West Bank

NABLUS (PIC)– The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) carried out at dawn Monday a raid campaign throughout Nablus during which several break-ins and arrests were reported.

The PIC reporter in the city quoted local sources as saying that IOF soldiers brutally stormed Askar refugee camp and broke into the activist in prisoners’ issue Yassin Abu Lafah’s home before his arrest.

The detainee Abu Lafah was previously arrested in Israeli and PA jails the sources added.

Also in Nablus Israeli forces arrested the young man Jamal Shalla and took him to an unknown detention center after violently breaking into and searching his family’s home.

In the same context IOF soldiers stormed Monday morning the MP Mohammed Abu Juhaisha’s home in Idna town to the west of al-Khalil.

MP Abu Juhaisha told the PIC reporter that large numbers of Israeli forces surrounded and stormed his home at 9 am; however the soldiers withdrew after they were informed that he was in very poor health condition.

Earlier last month Israeli forces nabbed MP Abu Juhaisha’s four sons and held them in Ofer prison.

Israeli forces waged overnight a large-scale raid campaign throughout al-Khalil’s neighborhoods. Twenty Palestinians were nabbed during the raid including members and leaders in Hamas Movement.

13 other arrests were reported on Monday morning including five detainees in al-Khalil while five others were nabbed in Nablus in addition to three arrests in Jenin.

Local sources confirmed that Israeli forces stormed this morning Samu town to the south of al-Khalil and nabbed five young men after storming their homes.

Ten other youths were summoned in the town for investigation in Etizon detention center according to the sources.

In Nablus five detainees were reported this morning in Assira town after storming and searching a number of local homes.

IOF soldiers nabbed three Palestinians in Tiba town in Jenin at dawn today after they raided different neighborhoods in the city.

Large-scale arrest campaign in West Bank

AL-KHALIL (PIC)– The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) carried out at dawn Tuesday a large arrest campaign against dozens of Palestinians including an elderly woman.

Eyewitnesses said that Israeli forces broke into Hossam Qawasmi’s home and arrested his elderly mother. Um Hassan 67 is a mother of 5 prisoners and 2 martyrs.

Qawasmi’s home is threatened with demolition for being allegedly involved in the kidnapping and killing of 3 Israeli soldiers.

Three Palestinian ex-detainees were also arrested after raiding and searching their homes in al-Khalil.

Three other youths were detained from Bani Naim town in al-Khalil.

On the other hand a number of youths were injured at dawn Tuesday when Israeli forces raided Askar refugee camp in Nablus.

According to PIC reporter a large Israeli force broke into Asker camp at 2 am and arrested three youths including 2 ex-detainees after storming their homes.

Family sources confirmed that the two ex-detainees were brutally beaten before their arrest.

As a result violent clashes broke out in the refugee camp. Injuries with live bullets were reported.

Meanwhile 40 people were injured on Monday during clashes that erupted after Tarawih players in different parts of al-Khalil.

13 youths were wounded when Israeli forces opened fire at a large march organized in Bab al-Zawiya al-Khalil in support of Palestinian resistance. The protesters in turn responded by throwing stones and empty battles at the soldiers.

Similar clashes erupted in Halhul Bridge northern the city where Israeli forces intensively fired tear gas bombs and live bullets. Several injuries were reported.

5 Israeli jeeps stormed Beit Ummar in al-Khalil late yesterday which led to the outbreak of violent clashes. Breathing problems were reported among Palestinians.

Clashes were reported in Fawar and Aroub refugee camps in al-Khalil. Arrests were carried out during the clashes. Tear gas bombs were fired at Palestinian homes the PIC reporter said.

A large march was earlier organized in Bab al-Zawiya in al-Khalil in support of Palestinian resistance and in protest against PA-Israeli security coordination.

Hundreds of people including children and women have participated in the march. The participants chanted slogans and held banners in support of Hamas leaders and Qassam Brigades.
