Lebanese police on Wednesday arrested a Palestinian refugee Mamdouh Faour in Shabriha refugee camp in Lebanon.
Well-informed sources revealed that the Lebanese police try to pressure Palestinian refugees in order to make them evict their homes to build a highway in the area. The Palestinian families however demand increasing the compensations before the eviction takes place.
The police threatened and summonsed the families to their station in al-Abasiya district the sources added.
Shabriha refugee camp in Lebanon was established in 1952 and houses 5000 Palestinian refugees who are experiencing tough economic and living conditions.
