Hamas representative in Lebanon Ahmed Abdul-Hadi met on Wednesday with Tor Wennesland UN special coordinator for the Middle East peace process.
In a statement on Thursday the Hamas Movement said that the meeting took place at the Grand Serail (government palace) in the Lebanese capital Beirut in the presence of senior Hamas official Mashhour Abdul-Halim.
According to Hamas Abdul-Hadi briefed the UN official on the latest developments in the Palestinian arena and stressed the need for the UN to strongly stand by the Palestinian people’s rights which are protected by the international law.
The Hamas representative also called for necessarily pressuring the Israeli occupation state to end its aggressive practices against the Palestinian people and their land and holding it accountable for its violations.
