Israeli war minister Avigdor Lieberman has claimed the Israeli army deals calmly and wisely with rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip and study the situation before responding admitting that most of the previous responses were violent.
He made his remarks on Thursday commenting on a recent attack with a grad missile on Ashkelon.
The war minister affirmed that Israel is not obliged to act according to what Hamas expect and does not follow routine methods when responding to attacks from Gaza calling the military commandership responsible balanced and serious.
However he warned that Gaza rocket attacks would ignite an all-out war if they claimed Israeli lives.
He also stressed the need to maintain a state of deterrence with Hamas and hold it responsible for the security situation in Gaza claiming that Israel seeks to turn Gaza into Singapore and does not want another war.
