NAZARETH (PIC)– Right-wing Knesset member Michael Ben Ari tore up a Bible book and threw it in the trash while making serious accusations against the Christians.
“This abominable book (the New Testament) galvanized the murder of millions of Jews during the inquisition and during auto da fe instances” Ben Ari said adding that “Sending the book to Knesset members is a provocation. There is no doubt that this book and all it represents belongs in the garbage can of history.”
All the Jewish Knesset members were also angry to see this Bible book in their mailboxes but they just ignored it or returned it to its sender and did not act like Ben Ari.
The sender was director of the Christian scriptures organization Victor Kalisher and he sent a new addition of the old and new testament printed in one book to all members of the Knesset.
For his part Arab Knesset member Mohamed Baraka the head of the democratic front for peace and equality strongly denounced during a Knesset session on Wednesday Ben Ari for tearing the Bible.
“What happened yesterday in the Knesset in an exhibitionist manner is extremely serious and racist. It is a nasty and ugly behavior hurting the feeling of hundreds of millions of people and Arab citizens Christians and Muslims because Torah and the Gospel are sacred books in Islam” Baraka said.
Baraka filed a complaint with the Knesset disciplinary committee to take action against Ben Ari.
