MK Proposes bill to protect IOF soldiers from prosecution

Israeli media sources disclosed that Israeli Deputy Minister and MK Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan is preparing a new bill that aims to protect Israeli soldiers who execute the Palestinians carrying out anti-occupation attacks.

Israeli channel two said that the proposed law would provide immunity to every soldier commander and officer whether doing compulsory service career non-commissioned officers and officers GSS operatives Police Border Guard Knesset Guard and any other member of Israel’s security forces as decided by the “Minister of Defense”.

The channel pointed out that the bill came in the wake of the support made by Israeli lawmakers and politicians including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for pardoning soldier Elor Azaria who shot Abudulfattah al-Sharif in al-Khalil in March last year.
