Palestinian lawmaker Ahmed Attoun an exile from Occupied Jerusalem has warned of malicious Israeli intents to exploit the current situation resulting from coronavirus fears to serve its Judaization schemes in Jerusalem and at the Aqsa Mosque.
In press remarks on Wednesday Attoun stressed the need to perform all prayers at the Aqsa Mosque to deliver a message to the occupation that the Palestinians would never allow it to fulfill its dream of Judaizing the Islamic holy site.
The lawmaker said that the health emergency in the Palestinian arena and the world’s preoccupation with the coronavirus pandemic could constitute an opportunity for the Israeli occupation to impose a number of faits accomplis against the Aqsa Mosque.
He warned that “the Aqsa Mosque is being exposed to real attempts to divide it and prevent the Muslim worshipers form entering it.”
However he expressed his belief that the Jerusalem people would be able to frustrate such Israeli plots in the holy city describing them as “the vanguard of confronting the occupation and its practices.”
