The delegation of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds has completed its participation in the 144th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in the Indonesian province of Bali on Monday.
The delegation led by Sheikh Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar included his deputy Fadli Zun the general manager Muhammad Makram Balawi and the head of the relations department Abdullah Al-Beltagy.
The league of parliamentarians for Al-Quds mainly discussed becoming an observer member of the international parliament. The discussions included following up on the observer membership application introducing the League and getting to know other delegations.
The League asked the head of the Arab geopolitical group and the Islamic group to support the League’s membership. Furthermore the delegates met with the President and the Secretary-General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union the Secretary-General of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union the Palestinian ambassador and the ambassadors of Yemen and Egypt.
The League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds recently gained observer membership in the parliamentary union of the OIC member states the African parliamentary union the global organization of parliamentarians against corruption and the Arab inter-parliamentary Union.
